The National Producers Guild of Uganda (PGU) is the professional body representing Film and Television producers in Uganda, established as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, fostering a sustainable and competitive creative economy for Uganda.

Vision:

To lobby, advocate and create an environment where local talent can thrive, enhance Uganda’s cultural representation and bring economic benefits to the film makers through the development of the film industry in Uganda

Mission:

To represent, support, and advocate for the Ugandan producers across various media formats — Film and Television.

To promote a sustainable creative economy, leveraging Uganda’s unique cultural assets to compete both nationally and globally.

To emphasise the need for professional development, ensuring that Ugandan producers have the skills, resources, and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the global entertainment industry.
