Eleanor Nabwiso. An actress, producer, director and co-owner of Nabwiso films. Eleanor Nabwiso has defied all odds to carve out her place at the table of creatives especially in the Ugandan film industry. From as young as nineteen years of age as a television presenter, Eleanor has since earned the title of a celebrated television personality and actress with over fifteen awards including; “best actress in East Africa” in FESTICAB Burundi, “Best actress in a movie” in Uganda film festival, best africa focus film in the London art house film festival, as a producer, her movie rain woke the best film in africa and Middle East in NUREIN, to mention but a few.
Eleanor made the first ever all female crew movie in uganda titled “bed of thorns “ that claimed the best women’s rights film award in the London eye film festival. Eleanor’s film experience and expertise has earned her other outstanding positions like, coordinator of the American film showcase, programs and events producer for Euro East Africa film festival, judge for the Dona i cinema international film festival, judge for two for one talent show by UN women. Among others, she is also growing as a brand influencer and still producing and acting in major movies and television series.
