The Western Uganda Film Producers Association (WUFPA) made it’s official launch and 9year celebration of Regional storytelling meaning that it was also an Awards night. The WUFPA judging process was a collaborative effort bringing together multiple film guilds, including the Screen Actors Guild, Screenwriters Guild, Sound Authors & Engineers Guild, Costume Designers Guild, and the Producers Guild of Uganda (PGU). Allan Manzi, Nana Kagga and Brenda Nanyonjo served on the official jury which evaluated the films over a three-week period leading up to the event.
